Underground Sound reinvents music streaming with the new iOS app

There is a problem in the music industry. As digital streaming platforms continue to dominate the music scene, it becomes increasingly difficult for independent artists to stand out and leave their mark in the world. There are 60,000 new songs uploaded to Spotify every day, so it’s no surprise that it’s easy to get lost in the noise. This is where Underground Sound comes in.

Founded by Jake Kavaler and Zachary Spar, the company’s sole mission is to create a platform that better helps artists benefit from organic exposure. In addition to free streaming and unlimited download capabilities, on the UGS app, artists can receive comments about their music from other artists as well as listeners.

The product was born out of an almost decade-long struggle as Kavaler tried to find his niche as a musician in an oversaturated industry – the team truly understands the struggle of the everyday artist; hence their slogan “For artists, by artists”.

Underground Sound sets itself apart from other music streaming platforms by taking the best features of these apps and tweaking them for the benefit of the artist rather than the business. Unlike Spotify and Apple Music, Underground Sound allows users to directly upload, share, and monetize their work on one platform. The app is specially designed for discovering new music, making it the ideal app for aspiring artists to authentically develop their network and build a lasting career.

Underground Sound has created a community of thousands of people and growing steadily after its release on the App Store on June 25.
