Apple Music app now available on PS5

PS5 owners can now download an Apple Music app to Sony’s next-gen console.

According to the official PlayStation Blog:

As of today, PS5 users with Apple Music subscription can enjoy over 90 million songs from Apple Music, tens of thousands of curated playlists, 4K music videos, Apple Music Radio broadcasting today’s hits, classics and country live, and personalized playlists based on your musical preferences.

The PS5 offers seamless integration with the Apple Music streaming service with background music and video clip playback, so gamers can listen before, during or after their gaming session.

The new music streaming app is intended to create a seamless experience for listening to music. It allows subscribers to play music before starting a game or during play with the PlayStation button.

In addition, it supports music clips:

Apple Music subscribers can also search and watch music videos from a wide selection of artists in the Apple Music app. Start by playing the video in full screen; if you decide to return to your game or navigate elsewhere on the PS5 home screen, the audio from the clip will continue to play. If you want to go back to the music video, it will also pick up seamlessly wherever you are in the song, with no music interruption.

What do you think of the new service for PS5 owners? Will you try it? Let us know in the comments below!
